Pasak Bumi

Pasak Bumi

Pasak Bumi is one of the most common colloquial names of the plant Eurycoma longifolia, a small tree-like plant native to Malaysia and Indonesia. It is also commonly called Tongkat ali.

Pasak bumi has a long history of use for varied medicinal uses, having been used as an anti-malarial, anti-microbial and ant-pyretic (fever reducing) plant. It's most famous and widespread use however is as a male aphrodisiac and sexual performance enhancer. Indeed the plant is very famous in Malaysia and it's use quite widespread for this purpose.

Pasak bumi has more recently come under scientific scrutiny, and several studies involving rats have demonstrated that the plant's extract has several effects upon male sexual function, including improved libido and sperm production.

The plant has even been discussed in the scientific journal Nature who called it "Malaysia's home-grown Viagra."  They stated that the effects associated with the plant include "increased sexual desire, enhanced performance and general well-being."

Because of it's long history of use, and it's more recent demonstrations of real effectiveness in experiments and studies, the use of pasak bumi has increased dramatically in recent years, to the extent that the plant is now a protected species in Indonesia. Unfortunately the plant has been harvested from the wild in too great quantities, threatening it's survival. It is therefore important that you only buy products containing pasak bumi that has been cultivated, to protect the remaining wild populations.

Pasak bumi extract is sold on it's own (as in our popular 100:1 strength extract, Hard Man pills) or else combined with other herbal extracts to produce a variety of male-enhancement products. Pasak bumi is an important ingredient of Stallion XL, Spermomax, Naturamax, Niagra and Horny Goat Weed Extreme.
